The ruins of a once elegant French military hotel situated on a prime site along Antsirananas seafront. The French handed the hotel over to the Malagasy military in 1972 to 74. It was severely damaged by a cyclone in 1984 and is now beyond repair.Antsiranana means port in the Malagasy language
