The Tarik Khana Mosque, Damghan, Semnan Province, northeast Iran, built circa 775. The Tarik Khana Mosque, is Irans oldest and recalls the buildings of the pre Islamic era. Its simple design consists of an almost square courtyard surrounded by single arches on three sides and, on the Mecca facing side, a prayer hall with triple colonnades.
