Rock sculpturing at Lugard Falls where the Galana River has carved its course through solid rock. The falls were named after Captain (later Lord) Lugard who played a major part in Britain's colonial history. He crossed Kenya in 1890 on his way to bring peace to troubled Uganda.

Rock sculpturing by the Galana River at Lugard Falls in Tsavo East National Park. The falls are named after Lord Lugard who,as a young army captain,journeyed through the region in 1890,leading a caravan for 800 miles to the Kingdom of Buganda in the country we know today as Uganda.
