Morocco,Anti-Atlas Mountains,Anammer (nr Igherm). A village boy stands in the main courtyard of Anammer’s agadir,or fortified granary. Built by the Berbers to safeguard their food stores and valuables,these granaries usually had family-owned cells or cubicles accessed by palm trunk ladders.
